Association of Small Foundations B-Annual Conference-Chicago

CEO Dr. Bruce Bloom, COO Pat Nichols and Development Officer Michelle Sherbun represented GPP at the ASF Bi-annual Conference in Chicago, where they met and talked with representatives of over 175 small foundations, representing over $5B dollars in philanthropy.  A major issue throughout the conference related to how small foundations could create a better impact on health through private philanthropy.  GPP was one of a few such philanthropic organizations actually working in this area, although there were many organizations and individual philanthropists interested in what we do and in ways in which they can be engaged.  GPP has since created funding partnerships with the Second Chance Foundation, Friends United for Juvenile Diabetes Research and the LUNGevity Foundation, among others
