Over 70 of our most honored guests joined us for cocktails and a light buffet dinner before the Bar Show in the most awe-inspiring of surroundings, a magnificent 9000 square foot luxury custom designed and custom built Diamond Schreiber home.  Guests met and heard from UVa diabetes researcher Dr. Raghu Mirmira, who hails form the North Shore and is principal investigator for this groundbreaking GPP project.  Dr. Bruce E. Bloom, CEO and Michael W. Diamond, COO, explained Goldman Philanthropic Partnerships mission and dedication to raising funds for innovative research to cure catastrophic diseases.  Susan Schreiber and Jim Diamond were our hosts for a tour this mansion filled with innovative, cutting edge elements, and attention to detail you will find from no other custom builder.  The cost of the pre-event was $50.00 (which was 100% tax-deductible), and spots were reserved only when purchased in combination with a 
ticket to the Best of the Bar Show.
