Perry J. Snyderman, JD is currently a senior partner at the law firm of
Piper
Rudnick concentrating in real estate law and financial
matters. He is also a managing director of Shell Vacations LLC, a
time-share developer.
Professional memberships include the American Bar
Association, the Chicago and Illinois Bar associations and
The Counselors of Real Estate. Mr. Snyderman has also
lectured extensively to various bar associations and
business organizations relating to real estate.
Mr.
Snyderman earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Bradley
University and his law degree from DePaul University.
Throughout his career Mr. Snyderman has served in many
different capacities that have included, Member and
Chairman, Board of Directors, American Resort Development
Association; Special Assistant Attorney General, Illinois
Toll Authority; Chairman of the Jewish Community Centers
of Metropolitan Chicago; Trustee, Ravinia Festival
Association.
Perry will lend his years of business and philanthropic
experience to GPP to help us further our mission to merge
philanthropy and business to create new research that find
cures.

Thomas J.
Romano
brings 30 years of banking and loan experience to
New
Century Bank, where he serves as Senior Vice President
of Business Banking. He spent 7 years as Executive Vice
President of Bridgeview Bank Group where he was instrumental
in growing that organization. Prior to Bridgeview, he spent
20 years as Executive Vice President of First of America
Bank where he was responsible for the management of the
bank's Northern Illinois lending functions and branch
administration of 39 branch locations. He also focused on
new business development, relationship management and
assisted in the opening of new branches.
Tom received his
undergraduate degree from Notre Dame and his MBA from
DePaul. He serves as a director of Arlington hospitality,
Vista National Insurance and Goldman Philanthropic
Partnerships.
Tom's marketing and financial management knowledge will
be invaluable as we continue to develop our venture
philanthropy model. |

Terrell H.
Sachman, CLU, ChFC
graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in
1973 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Business.
Immediately following his graduation, he joined this
organization on April 1, 1973. By 1983, Terry had achieved
the company's distinction of being accepted to the Order
of Excalibur, which he re-qualified for in 1997. In 1984,
Terry continued his new precedent of success and entered
AXA's prestigious Hall of Fame.
By 2002, Terry obtained
the Hallmark I, II, and III Awards: these heralded honors
celebrate lifetime production levels few producers ever
achieve. Furthermore, Terry has an exemplary list of
annual AXA awards which include: 5 Bronze Eagle Awards, 2
Summit Awards, 2 Legion of Honor Awards, 16 President’s
Cabinet Awards, 2 National Council Awards, 26 National
Quality Awards, the 1995 Midwest Regional Honor Agent and
the 1999 AXA's National Honor Agent. The Honor Agent
Awards are of special significance to Terry as they are
the highest awards given to AXA's financial professionals.
The honorees are chosen exclusively by AXA's management,
and are based upon contributions to the community, the
company, the industry, and to charitable causes.
Terry has
been a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council since
1984. He is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round
Table achieving “Court of the Table” since 1997.
Furthermore, he serves as a board member of the Paramount
Planning Group, and as the Managing Director of the
Sterling Group, two elite producer groups within the
company. As an experienced, dedicated, and successful
associate, Terry served on the faculty of AXA's University
for three years. He also served a four year term as an
advisor to the National Associates’ Forum Executive
Committee.
Terry will
provide his expertise to support our special projects in
the insurance and related areas, as well as his knowledge
of how high-net worth individuals could create the
greatest impact in conjunction with GPP.

Michael L. Lucas
brings Goldman Philanthropic Partnerships
20 years of
experience in capital markets, investment management, and
business start-ups. Mr.
Lucas business experience spans institutional
financial experience at Northern Trust Global Investments,
as Vice President of Institutional Sales, where he was
responsible for developing business opportunities for
emerging and minority-owned manager programs, and selling a
range of passive and actively managed equity and fixed
income investment products.
Prior to that he was with TEKchand LLC, as Director of Business Development and Chief
Operating Officer where he was responsible for client and
partnership development, and the securing of venture
capital. Before TEKchand, Michael co-founder and served as President of Trias Capital Management, an entrepreneurial
fixed income investment advisor recognized as one of the Top
Ten Fastest Growing Investment Managers by Pensions &
Investments in 1993.
Earlier in his business career, Michael
was at Wedgewood Capital Management, Portfolio Manager of
The Atlanta Growth Fund, a NASDAQ-listed mutual fund
marketing the firm’s fixed income management investment
capabilities to institutional investors, and before that at
Mellon Bank,as marketer for the fixed income
securities to institutional clients domestically and
internationally.
Michael earned his degree from Cornell
University, B.S. in Economics,
and serves as an Advisory
Council member for the Cornell University Entrepreneurship
and Personal Enterprise Program, connecting the resources
of entrepreneurial alumni with the spirit, creativity, and
drive of entrepreneurial students.
Michael is married to Deirdra Lucas, and they have
a lovely daughter, Perri.
He holds NASD Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses.
Michael's worldwide
connections and entrepreneurial achievements will help GPP
produce even greater value in the venture philanthropy
community. |

Margaret A. Christie, JD is a partner with the law firm of
Golan& Christie.
Prior to her affiliation with Golan & Christie, she spent
a number of years working at large law firms, including
Rudnick & Wolfe (now, Piper
Rudnick), where she was a
partner and which she left to start her own firm. As her
work expanded, she merged her practice with several other
firms until joining Field & Golan in 1995. Her areas
of practice include Commercial Real Estate, Financing and
General Business Law.
Ms. Christie is a graduate of Ohio
Wesleyan University (B.A., Economics, summa cum laude)
and Northwestern University School of Law, where Ms.
Christie served as Executive Editor of the Law Review. She
is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois
State Bar Association and Commercial Real Estate Women.
Ms. Christie is married to Gene Zelek, a partner at the
law firm of Freeborn & Peters. Margaret and Gene share
their home with two pugs, and in her free time, she enjoys
gardening. Margaret
has been interested in medical research for many years as
a result, in part, of having been a primary care giver for
a family member experiencing a serious illness for which
there were
limited medical treatments.
Margie's
legal expertise and problem solving abilities will assist
us in creating the partnerships that will leverage the
best of business, philanthropy and caring individuals. |

Rajeev Bahri, CFA is the Managing Director of
TEKchand LLC, a privately held software developer
for the Retail and Banking Industry. Prior to founding
TEKchand, Mr. Bahri co-founded Vector Financial
Group (VFG), LLC, a systematic commodities
trading advisor. Mr. Bahri has more than 10 years of
experience as a trader and investor in capital markets.
He was Vice President in the foreign exchange
departments of such money center banks as
ABN AMRO, First National Bank of Chicago,
and AIG Trading.
Mr. Bahri received a Bachelors degree in Electrical
Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology,
with highest honors and was awarded a Master's
degree in Business Administration from the
University of Chicago Graduate School of Business
in 1991. Mr. Bahri is a Director of the Indo-American Center.
Rajeev will help GPP with his extensive business
development and systems expertise, as well as his
creativity and energy to engage both researchers
and donors.

Michael Rosenbaum, president of
Rosenbaum Advisors, Inc., is a widely published and quoted
expert on investor relations, financial communications and
governance. He has more than 20 years' experience as an
investor relations advisor to hundreds of public companies,
and has authored two recent books on governance issues: The
Governance Game (2003)and Board Perspectives: Building Value
through Investor Relations (2004). Mr. Rosenbaum is a member
of the National Association of Corporate Directors, World
Presidents' Organization and National Investor Relations
Institute.
Michael brings a wealth of
business development, Board management and donor
relations knowledge to GPP.

Wm. Patrick Nichols is the
Founder and President of Transition Leadership
International, which serves the public by building teams
that transform nonprofit/non-governmental organizations and
the lives of those they serve. TLI provides “transition
leadership” that brings change to organizations prepared to
undertake major strategic transitions (turnarounds,
start-ups, mergers, strategic redirections, reorganizations,
etc.) creating new opportunities for sustained success.

Bruce A. Pivar is a certified
financial planner and registered investment advisor with
over 20 years of experience in the financial services
industry. His clients include charitable trusts,
foundations, families, professionals, athletes and
businesses. Bruce helps each client accomplish his or
her financial goals, assisting with planning for both
immediate and long term needs. His knowledge of
investment securities, estate planning and insurance matters
provides the overall guidance needed in planning the various
aspects of asset development and preservation.
Bruce's expertise will
assist the foundation and its donors in creating unique
methods of funding innovative research to accelerate cures
for catastrophic diseases.
