This unique grant program, established in 1988, annually funds 16-20 one year grants of $25,000 to creative scientists who have breakthrough research ideas with potentially powerful impact on the search for cures. Over the last 16 years this program has infused over $6,750,000 dollars into 275 of these "hypothesis-based" grants to provide the seed money that generates the data required to propel these ideas into the conventional funding stream.
There is no other program in the country designed to fund these groundbreaking ideas.
Listen as a recent grant recipient, Dr. Steve Kron of the University of Chicago, and others describe how important this grant program is to the future of medicine and philanthropy. |
