Mayo Clinic Presents: The Judith and George Goldman Symposium on Innovative Research in Myeloma

On January 19-21, 2001, the Mayo Clinic presented The Judith and George Goldman Symposium on Innovative Research in Multiple Myeloma in Amelia Island, Florida. This groundbreaking three-day program assembled experts from around the world to focus on in-depth coverage of the most current topics in multiple myeloma pathogenesis and disease biology. The meeting included experts from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds who participated in didactic sessions, panel discussions, and poster session as well as workshops on genetics, myeloma growth, and immunology and cytokines.

In addition to presenters from the Mayo Clinic, the symposium, lead by Dr. Philip Greipp, included distinguished researchers from Dana Farber Cancer Institute, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, the National Cancer Institute, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, M.D. Anderson Center and many other leaders worldwide.
